1. Conducting telephone interviews with busy clinical profession
Pros: allows for immediate reaction/follow up questioning and probing by trained, professional interviewers
Cons: expensive when done in volume, extremely hard to reach these targeted respondents, unable to show/display product concepts, ads, etc.
2. Conducting internet surveys of busy clinical professionals…
Pros: allows for a large volume of ad hoc or panel members to participa, especially in completing closed-end questions. Allows one to ‘show and tell.'
Cons: sometimes does not produce a robust data set of opinions, feedback to questions requiring open-ended responses.
SOLUTION:
At Research Options we have found that we can meet/exceed our client’s expectations for vital research results by combining both methodologies. We recruit/direct qualified healthcare professionals to a url where they can view (in a secure environment) your new product concepts, packaging ideas/inserts/directions, advertising concepts, pricing options, etc. While the respondents are viewing the site, our trained interviewers probe the clinicians via the telephone for the reasons behind their initial responses…resulting in insights and validation not possible by strict reliance on technological solutions.
